Moldova 2007 -- We stayed in the house belonging to the girl in the black polka dot dress (Lena). Her friend in the sleeveless plaid dress also helped prepare our food. They even had snacks ready for us when we came in at night! Lena's grandfather is 94 and the oldest man in the village. He fought in 5 wars and is a bit of a local hero.
